Printer Checking the Printer Warranty

Most electronic devices die at an early age within 90 days or work for a long time. Therefore, the support offered during the early part of the warranty period is critical. Warranties run from 90 days to a year or more. At the beginning of the warranty period, some companies include a 90-day on-site warranty. This warranty is meaningless, however, unless the company guarantees to arrive at your site within a certain amount of time. This is referred to as the response time. Sometimes, it is more cost-effective to have a cab or courier drive the broken printer to a repair facility. The time spent to fix the printer called the turnaround time is also an issue. Good on-site service contracts state specifically the response time and turnaround time. Because on-site service contracts rarely specify response time or turn-around guarantees and are a big source of frustration to consumers, some printer companies offer a return period during which you can return the printer and receive a refund. Other printer companies offer an exchange period during which time you can exchange the printer for another model.

Squid inkjets : Do not purchase a printer until you really need it. Then, put stress on it by printing a great deal during the warranty period. Spend the entire warranty period trying to "kill" the printer.

The biggest warranty problem is identifying who is responsible for fixing the printer if a problem occurs. The company, consultant, or the person who sold you the printer many times does not know who is responsible. The printer manufacturer can advertise a fantastic warranty policy. But, if that company does not provide the incentive, training, parts, and support necessary for a printer to be repaired, the warranty is useless. Be sure to identify and interview the person and organization responsible for warranty repair before you purchase a printer. If the printer is really cheap, start by calling the manufacturer, rather than asking the salesperson. The cheaper the printer, the more likely it is that the salesperson will not know what you are talking about.

If a problem occurs during warranty, do not waste any time initiating the warranty repair process. Document the process thoroughly. It is beneficial for the printer companies to stall so that your printer goes out of warranty while they fix it or claim to fix it.
