Printer Cleaning the Printer
Dot-matrix printers accumulate more dust
and dirt than almost any other electrical device. Dust and
dirt act a like a blanket and trap the heat chips that are
trying to be released into the air. The chips heat up, but
the case does not become hot to the touch.

To clean the printer (inkjet cartridges, laser, dot matrix printer), unplug the printer
cable and the power cable. Just turning off the printer will
not protect you from electric shock. There is no warning sticker
on the lids of most printers, despite the fact that they are
much more dangerous than the insides of a PC. There are usually
only a few screws holding the lid on the printer. After you
remove the lid, vacuum or blow out all the dust. Don't blow
dust all over the room.
