Printer Engine Type

These types of laser cartridge printers were reviewed: laser, liquid crystal shutter (LCS), and light emitting diode (LED). Laser cartridge printers are the most common. LCS printers are being positioned as low-priced alternatives. LED printers are often the highest priced. The LCS and LED printers have the advantages of fewer moving parts and less problems with text blurring or curving near the margins.
