Reviewing Laser Printer Engines
Printer Reviewing Laser Printer Engines
Few laser printers are sold by the company whose name is
on the printer. Most lasers can be divided into two parts:
the engine and the computer. The engine usually is made
by companies in the copier-machine market. The computer
is added by a company in the printer market. Probably, the
first popular laser printer was sold by Hewlett-Packard.
The engine of the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet, for example,
was made by Canon.

The engine part of a laser printer dictates most of the
laser-printer features. When comparing the laser printers
of companies that use the same engine, certain things are
the same. Because of this, the features of laser printers
are split into three web sections: laser engines, features
that manufacturers add to the laser engines, and object
printers.
